It was a warm summer night in Middle Georgia (always is), as two young undergraduates made their walk back to a friend’s house. As their feet touched the pavement in the intersection of West Greene St. and S. Wilkinson St., their eyes met one another for the first time. It was then when our young hero knew that he had just glimpsed the woman he could spend the rest of his life with. Fast forward 3 years and hours of failed courtship across undergraduate and graduate tenure at GCSU, Justin decided it was time to throw in the towel. As the first fringe of defeat touched the ground, Kathryn Jean Daniel succumbed to the efforts Justin put forward and could no longer resist their magnetic connectivity. As her seat belt fastened in the '92 Camry to make a last-ditch effort for coastal Georgia to tell Justin how she felt about him, she glued the pedal to the floor and let the endless miles of highway 16 carry her to the sea. As Katie’s journey began, Justin’s emotions and thoughts entered what felt like the twilight zone. A broken-down Camry and hours of dancing in the salty air later, the star-crossed lovers agreed that they would give this a real shot. From Denver, to Savannah and Atlanta they forged something between the two that has led you all here, and to the celebration of love on the 23rd of April. In Asheville, North Carolina, Justin sat on the bed and wrote his promise to Kathryn, a promise they both committed to each other on the patio at the Biltmore Estate as they agreed to spend the rest of their lives together. We invite you all to join us in a merry celebration of Justin and Kathryn (soon to be) Peacock. Cheers.
